Commerce Secretary Visits Universal Orlando

The
U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez was in Orlando
yesterday to meet with top tourist executives in the industry
at the Universal Orlando Resort and to speak at the National
Association of Manufactures' annual board meeting.
Gutierrez
also toured Universal and met with Universal Orlando president
Bill Davis, Universal Park and Resorts CEO Tom Williams,
and Orlando/Orange County Concention and Visitors Bureau
Preseident Gary Sain.
The
U.S. Commerce Secretary's visit coincides with the release
of the latest national economic indictors for travel and
tourism. He stated that international travel should break
a record set in 2000
